Inter Milan Reject Chance To Re-Sign Former Striker In Liverpool FC’s Mario Balotelli

Liverpool FC flop Mario Balotelli, reportedly wanted a return to former club, Inter Milan, however, the big spending Italians have refused to sign the 24-year-old.

Balotelli joined Liverpool FC from the other Milan club, AC Milan last year in a deal around A?16 million, but has failed to impress in his second stint in England, scoring only one goal in the Premier League in the season. The former City striker, is reportedly unhappy by the way he has been treated by the Premier League club, and is looking to make a switch, with agent Mino Raiola reportedly looking for a new club for him, as he feels, a change of scenery is required to re-ignite the career of the Italian striker.

Nerazzuri were reluctant to take Balotelli back

According to the Italian website, Calciomercato.com, Balo’s agent Raiola held preliminary discussions with his former club Inter, regarding a possible return of the Italian to San Siro, however Inter are not interested in the services of the controversial 24-year-old. Inter is currently managed by former Mario’s former coach Roberto Mancini.

The Nerazzuri have however not ruled out a move for the mercurial striker, but are aware of the potential disturbance he can cause in the dressing room. Another stumbling block regarding any potential moves, would be the huge wages that Balotelli commands, especially with Inter Milan looking to bring in defensive re-enforcement’s, it’s hard to fathom how they could manage his close to a 6 million wages per year.

Balotelli earlier today was subject to the wrath of Liverpool FC fans, after being supportive of former Reds winger, Raheem Sterling, who recently was sold to Manchester City for a record A?49 million, with the 20-year-old scoring on his Manchester City debut earlier today.

Liverpool FC are willing to let the striker leave on a loan or a permanent transfer, however, they demand that his salary be paid by the interested club in full, which rules out moves from some potential suitors for the 24-year-old.

What next for Balotelli at Liverpool FC?

With the imminent arrival of Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke, the Balotelli experiment has seemingly failed for Brendan Rodgers. Daniel Sturridge is set to stay with the club, and would compete with Benteke for the starting spot. The Merseyside club as a result are looking to offload three strikers in Balotelli, Borini and Lambert in this window, with this, it probably marks the end of the Italian’s miserable second spell in England, after he enjoyed relative success with Manchester City, before being shipped to AC Milan.
