‘I Want To Score More Goals’ Jordan Ibe reveals Reason Of Extra Training With Kenny Dalglish

. Liverpool FC wonderkid Jordan Ibe has revealed that he is taking extra training in vacation to boost his ability to score goals.

The 19-year-old winger, who should currently be on holiday, has asked the cluba s Academy director Alex Inglethorpe to help arrange some extra sessions to work on his finishing.

And according to Liverpool Echo, one chance conversation between Kenny Dalglish and Alex Inglethorpe led to Kenny Dalglish helping out the promising young winger in his quest to improve his goal scoring ability.

Kenny Dalglish is the coach who is credited by Alan Shearer to give him invaluable goalscoring advice that led to a young, talented Shearer into becoming a goal scoring machine.

Alex Inglethorpe told the ECHO: a Kenny Dalglish came in this morning and worked with Jordon Ibe and myself on a little bit of finishing. Kenny literally just got a plane and came straight here.a

a This is driven by Jordon. Hea s the one who wanted to come in and do a bit more. Hea s the one who wanted to work on a few things.a

Jordan Ibe has now shed further light on why he chose to stay back and train instead of going onto a vacation.

“I want to play in lots of games. Ia d like to play in the Champions League eventually. But I know Ia ve got to start chipping in with goals. I realise this season we havena t scored enough. If you score goals, ita s easier to win matches.”

“And from a personal point of view, if you score goals ita s a lot more difficult for the manager to leave you out.a

On his summer plans, the England U20 international added: “Ia ll have a few breaks abroad and recharge the batteries if ita s possible. But Ia m coming back in early.

“Ia ll be working with Alex Inglethorpe on my shooting. I know I need to improve on every aspect of my game. But I know too that goalscoring gives you confidence. It can lift other parts of your game to new levels.”

“I want to give myself every chance of starting next season in form already.”

I dona t take my position for granted and I certainly dona t consider myself an established first-team player just because Ia ve signed a new contract.”

Jordan Ibe has just committed his future to Liverpool, signing a new long term deal and if he continues to display the same attitude on and off the field as he is doing currently, he is sure to fulfill the massive potential that is evident every time the winger touches the ball for Liverpool FC.
