Give Us Ramos, Or Forget De Gea: Manchester United Issue Ultimatum To Real Madrid

Manchester United have informed Real Madrid that they will categorically not sell David De Gea to them unless they are allowed to sign Sergio Ramos from the Spanish giants.

.

David de Gea was widely expected to swap Old Trafford for the Bernabeu this summer after the goalkeeper refused a reported A?200,000-per-week offer to stay at Manchester United.

It was also reported earlier by reliable papers like the Times, that Manchester United were all but resigned to losing their goalkeeper and believe that only a u-turn equivalent to what Wayne Rooney did to sign a contract in 2010 will prevent the Spain goalkeeper from joining Real Madrid.

However, the deal seems to have now hit a roadblock, with Manchester United refusing to let the player go for the reported 30 million Euro that has been offered by Real, as they look to sign Sergio Ramos.

Reports in the Telegraph says that Manchester United have now taken a very hard stance, making it clear to Real Madrid that they are prepared to run down the contract of David De Gea, which has only one year to go, rather than selling them the goalkeeper this season should they not allow them to secure Sergio Ramos.

The stance taken by Manchester United continues to harden as the club make it clear that they value De Gea at the same price as Sergio Ramos who reportedly wants to join them.

The report says:

Manchester United have told Real Madrid that they will categorically not sell David De Gea to them unless they are allowed to sign Sergio Ramos.

It means that if the Ramos deal does not go ahead United are prepared to allow De Gea to run out of the final year of his contract at Old Trafford.

They have also been heartened by Ramosa s continued insistence that he is genuine in his desire to leave Real this summer and join the Premier League club. Ramos has asked Real to listen to Uniteda s offer.

United reason that it will cost them upwards of A?30million to buy a world-class goalkeeper to replace De Gea and that they value Ramos at around that price. So far United have made one offer a of just over A?32million.

The report also goes onto add that while there does remain a slight chance that Sergio Ramos will renew his contract at Real Madrid, Manchester United will not change their stance and will not sell De Gea to Real Madrid without the Spanish defender.
