Real Madrida s star attacker Gareth Bale will not leave the club this summer suggests his agent Jonathan Barnett.
For a few days, rumours were circulating that Gareth Bale may return to Premier League after a relatively unsuccessful stint with the La Liga giants. Premier League clubs like, Manchester United and Chelsea reportedly were keen to rope in the 25-year-old forward.
Jonathan Barnett rubbished all speculations and suggested that: “Why would he look to go elsewhere? Real Madrid are the number one club in the world. There’s always interest in him – but as far as we are concerned he’ll be at Real Madrid next summer.”
Gareth Bale had to listen to a lot of criticism from the local media and the club fans for his poor run of form this season. Many believed that he would not stay at the club after this season.
He also had a poor show in the UEFA Champions League semi-final clash against Juventus FC at Turin which they lost 1-2. He was taken off in the second half. But Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti has backed his star player and said, “Bale was tired; he’s just come back from an injury and he’s just too important for us.
“He’s our most dangerous player and because he was tired, I preferred not to take any risks and I took him off.”
