FC Goa Eye Revenge As They Host Atletico de Kolkata

FC Goa host defending champions Atletico de Kolkata in a feisty second round encounter in the Indian Super League at Nehru Stadium, Fatorda, on Wednesday.

Both teams have won their opening fixture and will look build on it. FC Goa coach Zico is eager to keep the momentum going.

a We had a good win against Delhi Dynamos in the opening game and we must continue winning,a said Zico.

Atletico de Kolkata, on their way to the championship, defeated FC Goa in the semi-final last year, who will have revenge on the back of their mind.

.

a Of course, we are motivated to win. This team has the ambition and desire to win this edition of ISL. This team has players who have played many finals. Last year there was a setback (against Atletico de Kolkata). This year, our target remains the same,a Zico announced in the pre-match press conference.

The Brazilian legend, when pressed about the absence of Helder Postiga, was quick to point out to the player missing due to injury(Victor Simoes and Bikramjit Singh) or are away for National team duty(Narayan Das and Pronay Halder) in squad.

Atletico de Kolkata coach Antonio Lopez Habas despite managing to defeat one of the favourites, Chennaiyin FC, has to deal with an injury to his marquee player, Helder Postiga, who will be out for atleast four weeks.

a I might miss Postiga for a month but I have a lot of confidence in all my players. The player who replaced him, Valdo, got us a goal. The important thing is I was happy that we were able to start with win,a said Habas.

Habas looks satisfied with his teama s progress in adapting to his style of gameplay.

a Compared to last year, there is a big difference in the team this year. This year the players have adapted to my system better. Last year it was new to them. Now they know what I want of them,a said Habas.
