FC Barcelona will be hoping to recover from their midweek 4-1 thrashing at the hands of Celta Vigo by beating the newly promoted Las Palmas who won their first game of the league season against struggling Sevilla.
.
FC Barcelona’s 100% start to the new season was emphatically put to an end by Celta Vigo when they struck four times to beat the Blaugrana in midweek.
Manager Luis Enrique rested Ivan Rakitic and had to be without the services of Jordi Alba who is set to return to the squad later today.
Also eyeing returns are striker Sandro and goalkeeper Claudio Bravo as the Blaugrana prepare to play their third game in six days.
However, the trio of Thomas Vermaelen, Rafinha and Douglas still remain sidelined.
Barcelona are expected to field a strong line-up, having rested some or the other big names over the last two games. The defeat to Celta Vigo means manager Luis Enrique cannot afford to slip-up again, as anything of the sort will set the alarm bells ringing at the Camp Nou despite such a strong start to the new campaign.
Las Palmas will be making their first trip to the Camp Nou in 13 years having languished in lower Spanish divisions before winning promotion to the top flight last year.
They will include Javi Garrido and Nauzet AlemA?n for the first time in the squad that is missing Gomez, Tana, Angel Lopez due to injury.
