One look at their statistic and one can understand why van Gaal is so keen on Pedro, who could prove to be a bargain for 21m GBP.

Di Maria, who is more of a passer and chance creator, has a higher chances created, key passes, and assist per 90 minutes stat.

But Pedro’s shooting, goal scoring and his ability to take players on with pace ensures he is a better goalscorer and dribbler. With his electric pace complementing the likes of Rooney, Depay and Mata, Pedro could indeed be a fantastic addition in a league where physical attributes count as much as technical ones.
