Fabian Delph’s Amazing U-Turn; Confirms He Will Not Be Signing For Manchester City

Aston Villa’s Fabian Delph confirmed he will not be moving to Manchester City after all.

The transfer looked imminent after reports broke yesterday confirming a deal had been agreed for the England international.

However, Delph has had a change of heart and at the last minute, decided he wants to pursue his career at Tim Sherwood’s Aston Villa in the coming season.

The midfielder signed a four-and-a-half year deal at Villa in January amidst links with Manchester City as well as Liverpool.

On signing his new contract in January, the player said he intended to be at the club “for the long run”.

“There was no way I was going to bail out,” he said at the time.

“This is my club and I want to be here. That’s why I am committing my future.”

Naturally, these quotes were being circulated on social media once news broke that the player was going to move to Manuel Pellegrini’s team. But Delph has proved a point to these people and proved commitment and loyalty are not things of the past.
