Everton Keen To Sign Manchester United Winger Januzaj On Loan

Everton are reportedly eyeing a move to sign Adnan Januzaj on loan from Manchester United.

Adnan Januzaj grabbed the imaginations of the Manchester United fans when he broke into the first under David Moyes. The youngster produced some memorable performances, including a wonderful brace against Sunderland away from home. The wonderful first season was however somewhat tarnished towards the end, as he earned some bookings for simulations. But beyond that, Januzaj showed tremendous promise and many reckoned him to eventually fill in the big boots of Ryan Giggs. But the departure of David Moyes and appointment of Louis van Gaal changed his status in the squad.

The Belgium international didna t feature in van Gaala s plans and the winger made just 18 performances in the Premier League (11 out of those came as a substitute). The formation that the new United manager used left no place for Januzaj in the starting line-up. This has drawn a lot of speculations about his future at the club.

According a report in Liverpool Echo, Everton are lining up a loan bid for Januzaj. The Merseyside club made an effort to sign Januzaj on loan in the winter transfer window last season, but Manchester United didna t entertain that bid. Things could possibly change this time though, as a loan move and regular first team action could put Januzaja s career back on track once again.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has turned his attention towards Januzaj after completing the signature of Gerard Deulofeu from Barcelona. Martinez probably sees Januzaj as a replacement for Kevin Mirallas, who has seemingly drawn interest from Tottenham Hotspur this summer. The London club are reportedly lining-up a A?7m for the Belgian star, and although Everton are unlikely to sell him for that price, the Manchester United starlet could possibly be the contingency plan.
