. Brazilian national team manager Carlos Dunga thoroughly praised Neymar and Dani Alves for their stellar performance last night at the Copa America 2015 against Peru. Brazil defeated Peru 2-1 courtesy Neymar’s goal and an assist.
Brazil were shocked by Peru at the beginning of the game when they went down by a goal to nil in just the third minute. They recouped quickly though as Dani Alves’ cross from the right flank was headed home by Neymar. Neymar then provided an eye catching to Douglas Costa in the injury which resulted in a winner for the team.
Dani Alves was initially kept out of the squad by Dunga. A late injury of FC Porto’s Danilo opened the doors for the Barcelona full-back. He had joined the side just two days before the tournament but still managed to perform superbly on the pitch last night.
Regarding the two players, Dunga said: a Neymar was decisive, but so was Dani Alves with the cross he put in, Douglas Costa with the goal he scored and the whole team in general,a the Coach said after the game.
a Ita s normal that a player like Neymar is noticed and comes into this tournament in top form after a demanding end to the season.
a [Dani Alves] is a player with experience, maturity and versatility and we have faith in him.
a It only took him two days to give a performance like the one we all saw, giving an assist and keeping his position in defence well.a
