Real Madrida s recent 4-0 loss to Barcelona did little to placate the Bernabeu faithful with the fans publicly turning against the likes of Florentino Perez and Rafael Benitez.

The crowd at Santiago Bernabeu booed as Rafael Beniteza s name was announced prior to the kick-off against Rayo Vallecano. 2-1 down in the early stages of the game, the fans made their feelings apparent as whistles rang around the stadium, drawing a sharp reaction from Cristiano Ronaldo.

While Benitez refused to comment on the situation, Cristiano Ronaldo was visibly upset as he refused to celebrate his goals against Rayo Vallecano. The Portuguese superstar was seen gesturing to the fans to stop whistling at the players with Marca reporting that Ronaldo was far from happy with the fans at Real Madrid. As reported by AS earlier, Sergio Ramos also spoke about the fans as he backed Cristiano Ronaldo on the pitch.

“He always says what he thinks. When we needed support most from the fans we got whistles, sometimes you need a little love.”

According to Marca, the fans seem to have given up on Real Madrid with the attendance dwindling following their 4-0 loss to Barcelona earlier this season.
