Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca could be on his way to the Premier League amidst interest from Liverpool FC, and his agent Sergio Barilla has now confirmed that Liverpool are one of his top priorities among a host of other options that reportedly includes Manchester United.

The Sunday Telegraph confirmed that Liverpool FC were looking into signing the Colombian forward from Seville who had an impressive season, guiding the Spanish side to Europa League win with a 28 goal haul that also saw him becoming a part of the top five scorers in La Liga with 20 strikes.

The Sunday Telegraph reports says:

a There is understood to be a a 30a million (A?21.4a million) release clause in Baccaa s contract, which Sevilla say has to be met.a

a Liverpool are determined to add to their strike-force and had targeted Benteke, having signed Danny Ings for a fee to be set by a tribunal but which could be A?5a million to A?7a million, although they will not bid anywhere near the Belgian internationala s buy-out clause.a

a As that interest has started to cool, possibly to see whether Villa lower their asking price, Liverpool are examining the possibility of signing Bacca.a

Barila, the player’s agent, has now removed any doubts that the player is open to a move to Liverpool FC despite Seville Sporting director Monchi saying that player is happy at Seville.

Barila said: a Sevilla are a good team who will play in the Champions League next season so it wouldna t be a disaster to stay,a he said. a Carlos has other options to earn a lot of money in places like China or the United Arab Emirates but that would not fit in with what he is looking for.”

a We are really looking at three things – number one is to have a happy family situation for his wife and son because he had a bad experience in Belgium.”

“The second is to find a good team with a good project. Before he went to Chile, we wrote down a list of clubs that fit that description and Liverpool FC was on that list.”

a The third question is the contract. He has a good salary in Sevilla but we know how much clubs in England can pay.a

Bacca is currently suspended for Colombia in the Copa America, where he was involved in the post game brawl with Neymar.

Following his move from Club Brugge, Carlos Bacca has scored 14 and 20 goals respectively in the La Liga for Seville, recording 11 assists over the two years. It is no surprise then, the club are reluctant to let the player go for anything below his release clause of a 30m.

Liverpool FC should be seriously considering going for Carlos Bacca, and the money should not be a problem. The player, clearly, is interested.
