Brendan Rodgers “150% Sure” He Won’t Be Sacked By Liverpool

Liverpool FC boss Brendan Rodgers has faced a lot of criticism recently as he has failed to achieve any of the season goals – lack of trophy, group stages in the Champions League and most importantly a top 4 finish.

Following the final game of the season at Stoke on Sunday, he will be asked to contribute to an in-depth review of the cluba s performance, where he will face some tough questions about the club’s failure to deliver the stated aim of a top four finish.

Asked if he feels confident co-owners John Henry and Tom Werner will stick by him and ask him to lead the club next season following that review, Rodgers replied: a Yeah, yeah. 150 per cent.

a There is probably a lot more made of the review than what it actually is. Ia m constantly reviewing with the owners. There is nothing different.

a People want to write about a review, there have been a number of reviews and throughout the season Ia ve had great communication with the owners.

a Ia ll speak with them at the end of the season like I did last year, like I did at the end of my first year, and like Ia ve done intermittently throughout the season. There is no great big review.a
Rodgers also said he thought that he will be a better manager next year as he would have evolved and matured role in the job.

a I think you evolve as a manager,a he said.

a Every year when you assess it and you review your own performance as a manager you hope the following year you can be better again. Certainly the experiences of this year will make me better. We have been clear with the identity of how we want to play since Ia ve been here. Obviously it hasna t quite worked out this season as well as I would have liked.

a But going forward I repeat I will be a better manager for the experiences and hopefully go on next year to be more consistent and we can win more games than we have.
