Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has made Real Madrid midfielder Isco his number one target for the summer transfer window and the club is preparing a sensational A?64m bid for the Spanish international.

Arsenal signed Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid for 45 million euros in the summer of 2013 and the club is planning another raid on the current European Champions in next transfer window. Their target this time is young midfielder Isco.

Arsenal are well stocked in their midfield at the moment as coach Arsene Wenger has the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, Santi Cazorla, Mesut Ozil, Mathieu Flamini and Mikel Arteta at his disposal.

But the future of Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini remains uncertain at Arsenal and coach Arsene Wenger has a plan to replace them with Real Madrida s Isco.

Isco, 22, is behind the likes of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez in the pecking order for Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti and ever since his arrival, the youngster has failed to secure a regular starting birth for himself in the squad of Los Blancos.

Meanwhile, reports coming from London have also confirmed the plans of Arsenal to launch a sensational bid for Isco. The Daily Star as claimed today that Arsene Wenger has reportedly made the Spain star his number one target and is prepared to push through a club record transfer. Isco moved to Madrid in 2013 but has often found his place in the team obstructed by Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.

Isco is an attacking midfielder who likes to play in the advanced role. But Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has successfully used him in deeper role as Luka Modric is out injured. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes that this versatility of Isco would help the club in big way if he succeeds in signing him.

Isco struggled to make his mark in his debut season for Real Madrid as he never got enough playing opportunities. However, he has performed extremely well during this campaign as he has made 20 appearances so far.

Meanwhile, the Real Madrid bosses are very pleased with the performance levels of Isco so far and it seems highly unlikely at the moment that they will allow him to join Arsenal at any cost. But Arsenal feel they can prise the young midfielder away in what would be their highest fee paid to Real Madrid.
