Arsenal Team News- Late Test For Koscielny; Welbeck, Ox Still Out

Arsene Wenger provided the media with Arsenal’s team news ahead of the Sunderland game on Wednesday night.

French defender Laurent Koscielny remains a doubt for the clash and will undergo a late fitness test. The centre-back played in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United, but he is now suffering with the flu.

“We have an uncertainty about Koscielny. He has the flu,” said Wenger.

“Mathieu Debuchy is not in full training yet. Oxlade-Chamberlain and Welbeck are progressing well, but will not be available for tomorrow.”

Arsenal play Aston Villa in the FA Cup final later this month and when asked whether Oxlade-Chamberlain and Welbeck will be fit to play the game, Wenger said, “I dona t know yet, leta s see how they all recover next week. Danny Welbeck is not available yet, he is not in full training, so I honestly dona t know. They all have to get fit very quickly now because there is not a long way to go [to the final].”

Arsenal provisional squad: Ospina, Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, Coquelin, Cazorla, Ramsey, Ozil, Sanchez, Giroud, Szczesny, Gabriel, Gibbs, Wilshere, Walcott, Rosicky, Flamini.
