Arsenal Team News- Boost For Gunners As Trio Set To Return Against Burnley

Arsenal received boost as the in-form Premier League team has players coming back in from injuries which means manager Arsene Wenger will have a larger squad to choose from in the coming games.

Midfielders Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta and Abou Diaby are all back in contention following injury lay-offs.

Wenger spoke on the return of the trio, “They came through the game on Tuesday well. They were at a good level physically and they should all be available from now on until the end of the season hopefully.”

Summer addition Mathieu Debuchy will also be fit to face Burnley this weekend which means that he could replace Hector Bellerin in the starting line-up. However, Wenger did say that the player is lacking some competitive edge at the moment so his involvement is not certain. He could start on the bench.

“Debuchy is alright. I can only play three players over 21 [in the under-21 league] so he is physically fit and ready. He lacks a bit of a competitive edge but overall he has no medical problems,” revealed Wenger.

Defender Laurent Koscielny will face a fitness test ahead of the game and the Arsenal boss said in the Frenchman’s regard, “Ita s a thigh problem, a little hip problem linked with the thigh. He will have a test today to see how far we can go with him. He had a scan yesterday and that looks quite good. The real test will be outside today”.

Goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny will also face a fitness test ahead of the weekend’s game but is unlikely to make a comeback, especially considering Ospina’s good current form.

Midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will continue to miss out, and the Frenchman revealed that the England international could be out for at least two more weeks.
