Arsenal FC Star Mesut Ozil Only Cares About Criticism When It Comes From The Manager

Mesut Ozil seems to be in the form of his life at the moment and is currently an indispensable part of the Gunners’ starting XI.

.

With 12 assists in the Premier League s far, the German international has been key to the success of Arsenal FC, who are in with a good chance of winning the Premier League title as they sit second on the table, just two points behind Leicester City.

But, the German had faced a lot of criticism after his move to the North London club, for not showing the drive and the intensity that a normal Premier League player exhibits.

In spite of all the criticism though, Ozil says that he does not pay much heed to what other people say. He even goes on to say that he does not attach a lot of importance to other people’s words even when they are praising him. In fact, all he cares about is what the manager thinks of him.

a Ia ve been playing for a long time, Ia ve been in the game for a long time, ever since I was young,a Ozil was quoted saying on Arsenal’s official website. a When I played well I was praised and if I didna t I was criticised, but the main thing is what the manager thinks about me.

a I never look at what people write about me. I just deal with my performances myself. My goal has always been to do my work and then when I am at home I dona t have to think about football,” he continued.

Arsenal FC face difficult task in Athens

While their exploits in the league have kept them in the hunt for the elusive Premier League title, Arsenal FC are facing a completely different scenario in the Champions League. They face a difficult visit to Olympiakos, where they must win by at least two goals, to progress to the Round of 16. While there have been rumours that manager Arsene Wenger might give Ozil some rest by benching him for the match, it remains to be seen how the Gunners perform without him.
