Napoli’s Faouzi Ghoulam is attracting a lot of attention in this transfer window.
Arsenal have reportedly made a A?10million offer for the Napoli defender.
He made 34 matches in all competitions for Napoli last season and did well enough to attract the attention of various clubs that include Chelsea.
Napoli signed Ghoulam from Saint-Etienne in January 2014, and are aware of several clubsa interest in the Algerian international. The Italian side is unwilling to let go of the talented player.
Replacement for Nacho Monreal who closes in on Bilbao move
The 24-year-old was one of Napoli’s most reliable players last season and his signature could mean the end of Nacho Monreal at Arsenal. With the player vehemently linked with a move to Athletic Bilbao, it makes sense that Arsene Wenger is finding an adequate replacement.
Monreal is closing in on a A?7million move to Bilbao. The La Liga club are offering the Spaniard a three-year contract with the option to extend it by 12 months. Monreal established himself as the club’s first choice left back ahead of Kieran Gibbs and made 39 appearances for the Gunners last season. But the player has not signed a new deal at the London club and will be available on a free transfer next season. Therefore it makes sense that Arsenal are cashing in on him where there is an interested party instead of making sure the 29-year-old leaves for free next summer. The player is however, currently on the pre-season tour with the club in Singapore.

Ghoulam would be a good addition for the Gunners squad
Arsenal were said to be refusing to pay above a 10m for Ghoulam, but since the difference in their valuation with Napoli was very little, it seems that the Gunners have conceded and are willing to pay a little more for the services of the Algerian.
The 24-year-old will be a good addition for the Gunners and comes in at a relatively cheap price. For Arsenal to make a title challenge next season, as well as do well in the other cup competitions, they will have to have a quality squad from the beginning. Only then will the club be able to fight Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United for trophies and titles.
