Arsenala s Olivier Giroud and Aaron Ramsey believe that the Premier League title is not yet out of reach for the gunners.
Giroud said that while there were still 8 games to go in the league, anything can happen but first Arsenal would need to win all of their remaining games.
a Therea s still eight games to play and first we need to win every single one of those,a said Giroud.
a We need to focus on our games and step by step wea re going to see. We want to finish really strongly, and if we can win our games, then we will see if City or Chelsea miss one of their steps.
a You never know, you have to believe in footballa .
Aaron Ramsey had a similar thing to say, agreeing with Giroud that the most important thing ofr Arsenal is to win all their remaining games.
Ramsey said, a Wea ll try to win every game we have left and see where that takes us.
a Strange things happen in the Premier League, the kind of upset where City went to Burnley and lost.
a Wea ve got to be switched on and make sure that kind of result doesna t happen to us a but at the same time believe the teams around us will be on the end of upsets.a
While Manchester City have been dropping points and making a second place finish a very realistic possibility for both Arsenal and Manchester United, Chelsea are much further away and also have a game in hand. It would require an extraordinary meltdown from Jose Mourinhoa s team for them to lose the league title, but like Giroud said, anything can happen in football.
However, more importantly for Arsenal, they need to do their part and keep winning games if they are to take advantage of any slipups from Chelsea. The Blues dropped points against Southampton and they almost dropped points against Hull too, so it is not an entirely unlikely event that it may happen. But for Arsenal, they need to keep their focus and keep winning all their games. While they showed their resilience in the game against Newcastle United, it would do well for them to not be in such positions in future games, especially against direct rivals like Liverpool and Manchester United. If they can do that, then they will be in a good position to challenge for the title, and if nothing else, at least finish second in the table, which in itself will be a huge improvement.
