Arsenal Bid For Polish Wonderkid rejected; Sanogo Expected To Join Bordeaux On Loan

Arsenala s bid to sign Legia Warsaw midfielder Krystian Bielik has been rejected and forward Yaya Sanogo is expected to join Bordeauz on loan.

17-year old Krystian Bielik has been on Arsenala s radar and the Londonera s approached Legia Warsaw to sign the youngster with a bid believed to be around A?1.6 million. According to reports, the bid has been rejected.

It was earlier reported that Wenger had managed to convince Bielik and his parents to move to London and join the Gunners in January. However, the midfielder, who is dubbed as the a new Patrick Vieiraa , will not be allowed to leave his current club, Legia Warsaw, that easily.

According to skysports.com, Legia Warsaw value the player in the region of A?2.3 million and Arsenal will have to meet their demand with another bid. Bielik signed for the Polish club from Lech Poznan for A?9,500 last July. The midfielder is contracted to stay at Legia Warsaw until 2017.

Arsene Wenger has identified Bielika s potential and is insistent on signing the defensive midfielder. Wenger believes that the Poland international could develop into an important player for Arsenal.

Wenger has previously successfully signed goalkeeper a 16-year-old Wojciech Szczesny from Legia Warsaw in 2006.

As rumours of new arrivals at Arsenal keep surfacing, the news of Yaya Sanogo moving out on loan has also emerged.

The French international will follow in Lukas Podolskia s footsteps and leave Arsenal on loan in January to seek more playtime. Wenger had previously confirmed that he is considering a loan deal for Sanogo and Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud has claimed Sanogo would love to join the Ligue 1 club.

21-year old Sanogo has made only three Premier League appearances for Arsenal this season, having featured in only eight English top-flight games last term following his move from Auxerre. The striker is currently nursing a hamstring problem but should be the ideal replacement Bordeaux’s leading scorer, Cheick Diabate, who is expected to be out of action for four months with a knee injury.

“Sanogo has chosen Bordeaux,” Triaud told Gold FM. “We expect a response from Arsenal on Tuesday or Wednesday.”

Arsene Wenger might be open to send Sanogo out on loan but the Arsenal boss had previously stated that he would like the French striker to be loaned to a Premier League side.

“It is a possibility, and I would prefer him to go to a Premier League club,” Wenger said.

He added: “Sanogo is a goal scorer and he is not frightened. He is a guy who is naturally aggressive and in the modern game that is a vital quality.”

It remains to be seen whether Wenger agrees to loan out Sanogo to Bordeaux to spend the rest of season in Ligue 1.
