Media reports in Spain suggest that Premier League giants Arsenal FC and . Liverpool FC will have to spend A?14.5m to rope in Villarreal’s Argentine striker Luciano Vietto. The 21-year-old striker had joined the Spanish side in 2014 and he has had an impressive debut at the club scoring 12 goals in 32 games.

Villarreal reportedly are not very keen on selling their young striker who has performed pretty well. This suggests that the Premier League sides will have to activate his release clause of A?14.5m.

Speculations regarding Viett’s possible transfer gained momentum a few days back when Vietto’s agent Jorge Cyterszpiler had revealed that a lot of clubs are watching his client’s progress and the youngster may leave the club in the summer.

He was quoted: “We know that a lot of big clubs are watching Luciano Vietto. There is a lot of competition for him. I think he could leave Villarreal in the summer.”

Luciano Vietto who is often called as the ‘next Sergio Aguero’ is an extremely talented player. In his debut season in the European top tier football, the Argentine found the back of the net on 12 occasions and provided 2 assists.

Vietto is considered to be an exciting talent and the Premier League sides, especially Liverpool, who could go ahead and rope in the forward.

Liverpool suffered in this season due to lack of quality strikers and injury problems. Mario Balotelli who was tipped to be Luis Suarez’s replacement had a terrible season while Daniel Sturridge remained out of action due to injury for the majority of the season. Vietto to Liverpool could actually prove to be beneficial for both the club and the player.
