Arsenal: Aaron Ramsey Is Back In The Squad, Confirms Wenger

Aaron Ramsey and Coquelin will be available for the game against Queens Park Rangers while Wilshere still needs some more time to heal.

As Arsenal travel to Loftus Road to face local rivals Queens Park Rangers, Arsene Wenger revealed that Ramsey has returned to fitness and is back in the squad. The manager also said that he believes Coquelin will be available for the game, though it will be confirmed by the medical staff on Wednesday morning.

He said: a Aaron Ramsey is back in the squad. From Sunday against Everton, I dona t think we lost anybody. We have to check Francis Coquelin with the medical people this morning in training to see whether hea ll be available or not, but therea s no obvious reason why he should not be available.a

Wenger also spoke about Flamini and Jack Wilsherea s progress and assured that both the midfielders are close to complete recovery. While the Arsenal boss said that Flamini will miss two more games, he also said that Wilshere needs more time to heal and he will not be available for the game against Manchester United.

a Mathieu Flamini is not far away but not close enough. I think he will miss the next two games.a He said.

Talking about Wilsher, Wenger said, a Hea s doing well but it takes some time to heal the wound after the surgery. It will take him a few days.

a I dona t set any dates, but what is for sure is that for Man United he will not be available.a

Wenger spoke about Ramseya s return and said that the midfielder needs to be strong mentally.

a When you have a repetition of muscular injuries, in can put the handbrake on your body a little bit. To get rid of that is a psychological problem. I don’t think he suffers from that, looking at him in training. Certainly, you lose a bit of confidence in your body.a

Arsenal will more or less start with the same line-up that was part of the victory against Everton this weekend. Ospina will start the game in the goal and the only thing that remains to be seen is whether Paulista starts a second consecutive game ahead of Mertesacker. Chambers might start the game ahead of Bellerin if Wenger is looking for fresh energy.

In the midfield, zil, Cazorla and if fit, Coquelin are sure to start the game with Giroud upfront. Alexis Sanchez might face the axe as the Chilean has been on a dry spell lately and Welbeck could start the game ahead of the former Barcelona winger.
