Arsene Wenger confirmed yesterday that Jack Wilshere had suffered a hairline fracture to his lower left leg. Frustrated Arsenal fans reacted to the latest injury setback on twitter.
The player will be out for around six to eight weeks. The injury was allegedly a result of a strong tackle from Arsenal FCa s January signing Gabriel.
Wilshere has a history of injuries, especially on his ankle and was sidelined for five months last season after undergoing surgery on his left ankle.
a The information you have heard about Jack Wilshere is right,a Wenger told the club website, confirming reports that had appeared in the British media earlier in the day.
a I had a bad surprise because it is a hairline crack in his fibula that makes him a few weeks out.
a There is minimal damage apart from the bone damage a there is no damage at all apart from that. It was a collision in training and it was all completely accidental.a

Wilshere Injury has nothing to do with our medical staff. Down to bad luck. Can’t believe he’s crocked again. Must be devastated.
