PSG striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will miss the return leg of their Champions League tie against Chelsea FC after being ruled out for a month.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic was substituted in the 68th minute of the match against Chelsea after he felt muscular pain and caused some worries amongst the PSG supporters. Laurent Blanc was unsure about the extent of the injury at that moment and insisted that he needed rest in the post-match interview.

Now it has been confirmed by PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi that the Swedish international will be out of action for a minimum of four weeks due to a thigh injury.
“He [Zlatan] is doing an MRI now. I think he will need a minimum of four weeks (out of action).” ai??i?? Al-Khelaifi said in an interview.
The PSG president also insisted that it is impossible that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be fit to play against Chelsea in the return leg and his absence can be a major blow for the French club. They are currently the favourites to go through to the next round after winning the first leg 3-1, but Chelsea do have it in them to pull out the required result at Stamford Bridge. Now with the absence of Zlatan, who has been fantastic form this season, the team will miss its main focal point in attack in the second leg. Lucas Moura is likely to replace Zlatan in the starting line-up, which means Edinson Cavani will play a more central role in attack.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is now likely to also miss out on the French League Cup final against Lyon later this month and if Al-Khelaifiai??i??s assumption is correct then the 32-year-old is unlikely to return before PSGai??i??s match against Rennes at the start of next month.
Alex expresses his desire to stay
PSG defender Alex, whose current contract expires at the end of this season, has indicated his desire to extend his stay at the French club. The future of the former Chelsea defender has come under a lot of speculations with Manchester United being linked with a move for him in the summer. The 31-year-old, who joined PSG from Chelsea back in 2012, was an important part of the Ligue 1 winning squad last season and he is hoping to earn a new deal with the club.
“I am a PSG player and I give my very best for the club, and I believe I will remain a PSG player next season.” Alex said in an interview to L’Equipe.
His place in the side has come under threat from another young Brazilian center back Marquinhos, who is expected to be a regular alongside Thiago Silva next season, and if he extends his stay at the club, Alex might have to give up on regular first team action next season.
