Wilfried Bonyai??i??s agent has played down rumours linking him Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal FC.
The Ivorian international signed for Swansea City at the start of this season after having a wonderful season for Vitesse in the Eredivisie. Swansea managed to fight off a lot of interest from other European clubs when they signed the 25-year-old forward. The Welsh club might have struggled to replicate their league performance this season, but Bony have been one of the few bright points for them. He has continued his goal scoring form in the Premier League as well and has already scored 26 goals for them in all competitions.
His performances have once again draw a lot of attention and former Sparta Prague forward has been linked with Arsenal and more recently with Borussia Dortmund. The Gunners are expected to strengthen their strike force in the summer and a lot of strikers have been linked with them. Reports suggest Wilfried Bony is one of their prime targets and they are likely to make a move for him the summer.
Like Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund are also in need of new strikers in the summer. Robert Lewandowski will join their rivals Bayern Munich next season and Dortmund are need of a replacement. They have already signed Adrian Ramos from Hertha Berlin and are expected to sign one more forward in the summer.
But Wilfried Bonyai??i??s agent has played down these reports linking him with a move away from Swansea City and has insisted that the striker is happy at the Liberty Stadium.
“We are very happy with what he achieved in his first season at Swansea.
“He’s happy to stay there and it was a good decision to go there. He appreciates that Swansea are the club who gave him his chance in the Premier League.
“He will go to the World Cup in the summer and we think he can be even better next season. He has three years left on his contract and his situation is stable.” – Dalibor Lacina said in an interview.
Having joined Swansea only last year, he has a contract which runs till 2017. This puts Swansea in a good position to deal with interests in him in the summer. The Welsh club are unlikely to accept any offer below ai??i??25 million.
