Tottenham To Avoid Spending In January; Brazilian Midfielder Paulinho Linked With An Exit

Tottenham managerAi??Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that he is happy with the current squad and could refrain from signing new players come January.

The 42-year old is yet to spend aAi??huge amount of money on a single player as the manager and could continue that trend. He said,Ai??ai???January is not about whether we sign a player or not. I am happy with my squad.

Pochettino’s most expensive signing so far is left back Ben Davies after having signed from Swansea for a fee ofAi??ai??i??12.65m. He spent wisely in the summer as he strengthened almost every area of his team.

Tottenham’s next opponents are Leicester CityAi??and Pochettino’s side could be without midfielder Ryan Mason who impressed in their last game against Burnley. The 23-year old picked up an ankle injury against Burnley. Paulinho set for an exit

Mason’s form has been so good that he has appeared in every Premier League game since his debut and has displaced Brazilian midfielder Paulinho from the team.

Paulinho, who was signed last summer, has made just five appearances in the Premier League this season and has been restricted to game time only in the Europa League where he has appeared seven times. As a result, Serie A side Inter Milan are looking at the possibility of signing him on loan in January with the view of a permanent transfer in the summer for a fee of A?12m.

Inter’s sporting director Piero Ausilio has reported flown to London to open discussions with Tottenham regarding the 26-year old.
