Luis Suarez was the centre of all transfer speculation last year at this time as he made it pretty clear that he was unhappy at Merseyside. The forward had missed the last few games of the season after a shock incident at Anfield which saw him biting Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic.

“When there is an offer from a big club like Real Madrid it is difficult to say no.
