Steven Gerrard couldn’t hide his disappointment after Liverpool FC lost the title to Manchester City.
Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard said that he was feeling “absolutely devastated” after they failed to lift the Premier League title. Liverpool did manage to win against nine-men Newcastle United team in their last game and were hoping that west Ham United could pull out a miracle against front runners Manchester City. But all their dreams were shattered as Manuel Pellegriini’s men beat West ham 2-0 to lift the title.
The English International was gutted with the fact that after being at the top spot almost till the end, his team was not able to hold onto their nerves in the last few games, which included a loss against Chelsea and a self-driven draw against Crystal Palace.

This season was outstanding for Liverpool and they enjoyed a great run in the title chase. They had a run of 11 straight wins, which had ignited the belief in them of winning the title after 20 years period.
