Speaking before the game at Villa Park, Van Gaal revealed that Angel Di Maria has been training with the squad but is not assured of a place in the team squad against Aston Villa.

However Van Gaal is not likely to rush into taking any decision and will give Falcao plenty of opportunities to prove his worth at Manchester United. With a hectic schedule in front of him, United will be keen to make use of all their resources as they await a hectic Christmas weekend.
The striker had earlier asked for more game-time in a bid to prove his worth to Van Gaal. Falcao claimed that he wanted to stay at Manchester United but was not happy sitting on the bench under the Dutch maestro.
