Manchester based newspaper The Sunday People has run a front page report claiming that Sporting Lisbonai??i??s defensive midfielder will become an Old Trafford player before the World Cup finals in Brazil, where he will represent Portugal.

William Carvalho is a product of Sportingai??i??s famed academy, and was brought back into the fold by the Lisbon club this season after an 18-month loan at Belgiumai??i??s Cercle Brugge. It was a surprise when William was selected as a first-team starter as 2013/14 kicked off but a handful of matches later and nobody was questioning the wisdom of the decision.
