David Moyes has now been officially sacked by Manchester United after having been in charge of the club for less than a year.
Sir Alex Fergusonai??i??s appointed successor, David Moyes, led Manchester United to a disastrous season this year and it seems that a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Everton was the final nail in his coffin. The club website has officially declared his departure, thanking him for his efforts and time.

Reports broke out last evening that Manchester United were planning to sack their manager after a dismal season that seems to have divided the fans and the players alike. The fans had long been sceptical of the manager and Manchester United saw their fans go from wanting to tear the ai???Chosen Oneai??i?? banner to fly a ai???Moyes Outai??i?? banner above the Old Trafford. Reports had earlier also suggested that the players were unhappy with their new manager and that the dressing room stood divided on David Moyes.

One of the biggest reasons behind his sacking is the fact that Manchester United did not trust David Moyes with the job of rebuilding the squad. Ready to spend close to A?200million in the summer, it was believed that the Board did not believe that David Moyes was the right man to rebuild the squad. Having failed to attract quality players, with many such as Edison Cavani openly doubting his credibility, it seemed that United would have a hard time getting fresh players in with no Champions League football to offer them. This is why the Board decided to let go of David Moyes before the end of the season in order to carefully appoint the new manager.
It now seems that Ryan Giggs will be taking charge of the club and will act as an interim manager till the end of the season. Ryan Giggs, Unitedai??i??s most decorated player, was already a part of Unitedai??i??s coaching staff and he is being tipped as the one to lead the club in the remaining fixtures.
David Moyes was in charge of Manchester United for almost a year and has led the club to the seventh position in the Premier League with just 4 games to go for the end of the season. Kicked out of the Champions League and other domestic fixtures, United have suffered the worst season at the hands of David Moyes. It now remains to be seen as to who the club appoints as his long time successor at Old Trafford.
