Real Madrid fans couldnai??i??t have asked for a better season than this one. The true ai???Special Oneai???, Carlo Ancelotti guided Los Blancos to their La Decima in his first season in charge while they also won Copa del Rey in process by beating eternal rivals FC Barcelona.
Real Madrid is the most successful club of Europe and Ancelotti will be trying to put icing on cake by winning La Liga next season. The current squad of Real Madrid is the most expensively assembled one in Europe and possess the depth envied by their rivals.
While there is no weak point as such in current Real Madrid squad, Ancelotti cannot afford to go into next season with same set of players as the danger of complicacy is always there. The Italian also understands this and he had a meeting with president Florentino Perez on Thursday to decide plan of action for this transfer window.
As always, many names have been linked with a possible move to Santiago Bernabeu this summer. However, not all are Real Madrid material. THT lists down three players Real Madrid must sign in order to continue their dominance in Europe next season while regain their hold in La Liga too.
1. Alberto Moreno: The Sevilla left back is one of the hottest properties of this transfer market. Although he has not been selected in Spainai??i??s World Cup squad, he is the player for the future and the likes of Liverpool and PSG are also vying for his signature. With Fabio Coentrao looking for an exit from Madrid, Ancelotti must move for the youngster. Marcelo is the current first choice left back of Ancelotti but the Italian is not fully convinced with the defensive play of the Brazilian. And unlike Marcelo, Moreno is much more dependable in defence.
2. Arturo Vidal: Arguably, the Juve star Arturo Vidal is the best central midfielder in the world. Juventus have won Serie A for three consecutive seasons and Vidal has been their best player for all three seasons. The Chile international is also attracting the interest from other giants of Europe e.g. Paris Saint Germain, Barcelona and Manchester United. But President Perez knows better than anybody else how to fend off the competition. Xabi Alonso has not been able to maintain his consistency nowadays and Vidal will prove an able replacement for ageing Basque.
3. Luis Suarez: The Liverpool attacker is currently number one transfer target of both Ancelotti and Florentino Perez. It is no doubt that Luis Suarez is more talented than Frenchman Karim Benzema and the Uruguay international can form a devastating partnership with Ronaldo and Gareth Bale. Reportedly, Suarez himself wants a move to Real Madrid. Real Madrid will have to break their bank to sign Suarez though. Suarez was the best player of EPL last season and Liverpool will not settle for anything less than 80 million euros for the player.
There is no doubt that current squad of Madrid is almost complete and unlike the likes of FC Barcelona or Manchester United, no ai???overhaulai??i?? is required.
