Manchester United forward Radamel Falcao insists he wants to sign a long term contract with the Red Devils, but feels that the decision on his future will depend on the amount of playing time he gets with the English club.
The Colombian international was brought to Old Trafford on a season long loan for A?6 million from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco as a deadline day transfer in the summer this year, with an option of making the deal permanent for A?43.5 million at the end.
But his stint in the Premier League so far has been marred by injuries and an inconsistent form. A muscle problem in October followed by some discomfort in the calf has kept the player out of important fixtures, with the 28-year-old making a mere three league starts so far and has just one goal to his name.
Manager Louis van Gaal has regularly given priority to Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie, and James Wilson in the starting line-up over Falcao, who has just played for 62 minutes so far.
