New signing of Manchester United, Ander Herrera is eager to play for the Red Devils under Louis van Gaal after completing his move to Old Trafford.
The 24-year-old central midfielder signed for Manchester United from Athletic Bilbao this week and he is seemingly excited to play for one of the worldsai??i?? biggest clubs. Herrera was a primary target to Manchester United 12 months ago, but the deal failed to materialize on the last day of the transfer window. United moved quickly for Herrera this summer and the Spaniard became the first signing of Louis van Gaal.
Herrera feels that new manager Louis van Gaal is one of the best in the business and he canai??i??t wait to play under the Dutchman,
“Louis van Gaal is one of the best managers in the world and, for me, I am lucky to be working with him,” Herrera said.
“I want to learn a lot of things and I cannot wait to play with van Gaal, my new team-mates and for Manchester United. I’m really excited to go on pre-season to America and play against Roma and Inter Milan.”
Manchester United have spent huge money on the midfielder and Herrera feels that he has the necessary qualities to justify his price tag.
He said: “I am a midfielder and one of the best qualities I have is that I always want to be involved. I want the ball and want to help my team-mates.
“I know the Premier League and really like it. I think I will grow up in the Premier League. It is one of the best leagues in the world.”
Manchester United already possesses two Spanish players David de Gea and Juan Mata in their squad and Herrera says that he is very excited to alongside them.
“I know they are very happy, I was talking to them and they told me this is the biggest club in the world and that we have a very good squad.
“They can help me settle at Manchester United. We are very good friends and I’m sure they will help me adapt at the club.”
Manchester United have plans to spend huge money during this transfer window and they have made the statement of their intent by signing Luke Shaw immediately after announcing the deal for Ander Herrera. Such outlay is expected to continue as the Red Devils are still searching for able heirs to already departed central defenders Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic.
