Manchester United were in the hunt for Southampton’s bright prospect Luke Shaw to replace their experienced left back Patrice Evra. The imminent departures of Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic and Ryan Giggs from the playing staff leaves them short on experience and the united think that decided to keep the French man for one more year to ease the club in transition period.
