Liverpool FC have been linked with a move for Southampton captain Adam Lallana since the starting of the transfer window. The Merseyside outfit have been reported to be edging closer to the move ever since and the player apparently had his heart set on a move to the Reds. However, talks broke down as Southampton kept increasing their price and were finally asking A?30m for the 26 year old. Liverpool were clearly unwilling to pay that price.
However, it looks like now the South coast club will have to part with two of their prized additions in the matter of days- Luke Shaw has joined Manchester United today- as a deal for the versatile midfielder was negotiated and is said to be in a region ofAi??A?25 million. Liverpool look set to beat Arsenal and Tottenham to the signing of Belgium striker Divock Origi. The Belgian youngsters has been one of the finds of the World Cup and has impressed everyone with his displays.
