Liverpool FC are still looking at Monaco’s Radamel Falcao, indicate various media outlets.
The Reds need to sign another striker before the transfer window closes at the end of the month and Brendan Rodgers has not been deterred from Monaco’s response about the inquiry made for Falcao where they said that the player is keen to move to Real Madrid. Rodgers knows that Real already have enough attacking options in the side and will not buy another player who will regularly demand game-time and someone who can’t be benched. Besides, even Real Madrid manager confirmed that the club will not make any more signings this summer.

Rodgers said on his press conference before the Southampton game that the Reds were still looking at strikers before the window ends and have money to buy a top one.

Liverpool are considering a one year-long loan deal for the Colombian, who seems keen on leaving the French league. The Reds have also been linked to PSG’s Edinson Cavani whoAi??has been reported to be unhappy because during the latter part of last season, he was played on the left to accommodate Zlatan Ibrahamovic. Cavani’s agent has told the media that the player has had inquiries from Arsenal and Liverpool.
Samuel Etoai??i??o is another name that has come in the media. Apparently, Rodgers and the Liverpool board are considering his acquisition with the player believed to be keen too. Everton too, are interested in Eto’o.
Liverpool still think that Falcao can be persuaded to join them if the Real Madrid move does not materialize and with Ancelotti’s recent comments, it looks like it won’t be happening. There is a possibility that the Colombian will join another club on a season-long loan this time and Real Madrid can buy him from Monaco next season.
The Reds don’t have enough striking options at the moment and a move for Falcao makes perfect sense. The player is a proven world-class attacker and will help Liverpool on their return to the Champions League. However, the fact that he will move away from the club at the end of the season will worry Rodgers since he doesn’t have a permanent solution to the striker problem. Liverpool have money to buy a good attacker, so why not spend it on someone who will stay for a while? Hence its likely that the Northern Irishman looks at someone who can fill the void permanently. Approaches for Edinson Cavani therefore, can’t be ruled out.
