Liverpool are in talks with Victor Valdes for a surprise deadline day move for the Spaniard.
Valdes is a free agent now, after his release from his boyhood club Barcelona this summer. However, after suffering a cruciate ligament injury in March, which forced his exclusion from the Spain squad for the World Cup, the 32 year old will not be fit until December.
The 32-year-old Catalan keeper is being eyed by Brendan Rodgers as the cover for Simon Mignolet in goal.Ai??Brendan Rodgers wants to bring in a quality back-up goalkeeper for the upcoming campaign.
