Liverpool thrashed Swansea 4-1 at Anfield last night and finally put up a performance to be extremely proud of.
The Reds scored three goals in 18 minutes in the second half and ended a rollercoaster year in eighth place in the Premier League, five points off the top four. Brilliant performances from the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Alberto Moreno, Jordan Henderson, Emre Can Adam Lallana – who scored a brace – ensured that Liverpool can end their year on a high and approach the Leicester City game on New Year’s Day with some confidence.
Rodgers feels the way Liverpool have played in the last two weeks or so, is more at the level of how they were performing in the last season.
