Colin Pascoe, Liverpool’s assistant manager who took the pre-match conference in the absence of Brendan Rodgers, has revealed Mamadou Sakho is recovering well from the thigh injury that has kept him out since the start of the month
Sakho hurt his thigh in a training session in the build-up to the trip to Basel and has been absent from the squad ever since.

Pascoe also said there were no problems surrounding Sakho’s walkout before the Merseyside derby. The French defender left the stadium before the game began after he was told he was not in the squad. He apologized afterwards.

Pascoe said that left-back Jose Enrique would miss the game as he suffered from a slight knock alongside Daniel Sturridge who hasn’t played for Liverpool since 31st August against Tottenham.
