Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has renewed his contract with the Club. The new contract will keep the England international at the Merseyside club for the next five years. Sturridge, 25, signed for the Reds from Chelsea in January 2013.
The new contract is believed to be worth around A?150,000-a-week.
The striker scored 22 league goals for the club last season and has been out injured for the last month and this week. Sturridge was recently stuck in a club vs country row over how his training should be managed. Roy Hodgson may have decided to overlook the striker for the upcoming International games but Brendan Rodgers has bestowed his trust on the Englishman by rewarding the striker for his services.

Since joining Liverpool in 2013 from Chelsea, the Englishman has scored 36 goals from 52 appearances for the club. Along with former Liverpool striker Suarez, Sturridge enjoyed a 53-goal partnership and now with the Uruguayan leaving for Barcelona in the summer, Sturridge will be hoping to be the main man at Anfield. The player insist that his best is yet to come and Liverpool missing out on the Premier League medal last season by a whisker has made him more determined to perform at the highest level.
