Liverpool are close to completing the signing of Southampton centre-back, Dejan Lovren.
Liverpool are close to finalizing the deal for Saints defender Dejan Lovren and the player can be unveiled as an official Liverpool player as early as Monday.
Liverpool chief executive Ian Ayre has flown back to the UK from the club’s tour of the United States of America in order to complete the transfer. LovrenAi??is scheduled to undergo his medical and sort out personal terms in Liverpool today.Ai??EchoAi??report that if everything goes as per plan, Lovren will link up with the Reds squad in either New York or Charlotte next week.
The Reds have been linked with the player all summer and Brendan Rodgers has identified the Croatian international as his top defensive target. Lovren himself has expressed his desire to play for Liverpool very early on. In that interview, the player went as far as claiming his head was already at Liverpool.
