Rio Ferdinand has been linked with a move to Hull City following his exit from Manchester United.
The 35-year-oldai??i??s contract expired at the end of this season and he wasnai??i??t offered an extension by Manchester United. This brought an end to his 12 years spell at the club, during which he won six Premier League titles, two League Cups and a Champions League. In an emotional letter to the fans following his exit from Old Trafford, Ferdinand insisted that he will move on and look for newer challenges.
“I am feeling fit and healthy, ready for a new challenge and looking forward to whatever the future holds for me.” ai??i?? The former England international said back then.
Ferdinand insisted that he will soon make his decision regarding his future in a recent interview.
“In the coming days I will start to think about my next step and make a decision on what will happen. I haven’t had much time to do that yet since the season ended. I’ve been able to get away from the hype and enjoy my time.” ai??i?? Ferdinand said.
The former Leeds United center back has now been linked with a move to Hull City among many others. Steve Bruce, who recently saw his team lose the FA Cup final against Arsenal, has hinted at his desire to bring him to Hull City.
“We’ve cast an eye over a few things, I haven’t looked into that yet. Rio has been a wonderful player… who knows?
“If he fancies a game, once we’ve got over the weekend, then I’ll see if we’ll give him a call.” ai??i?? The Hull City manager said.
Hull City will play in the Europa League next season and this could work well in attracting Ferdinand to the club. But the Tigers are unlikely to offer as big a pay-package as LA Galaxy, Besiktas and Galatasaray, who are also said to be considering a move for Rio Ferdinand.
