Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus, whose contract is set to expire in 2016, has fueled speculation about a move to FC Barcelona or Real Madrid by taking Spanish classes ahead of a potential transfer to the Spanish giants.
Marco Reus has become the most sought after player in the European football as his buy-out clause comes down to just 25 million euros in the summer of 2015. Marco Reus has shown reluctance to sign the contract extension with Borussia Dortmund so far and keeping this in mind, host of top European clubs including FC Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Arsenal and Chelsea are eager to sign the player.
FC Bayer Munich were touted as the favorites for the signature of Marco Reus earlier but the attacker has surprised everybody by joining Spanish classes, suggesting that he wants to join either Real Madrid or FC Barcelona.
Meanwhile, German newspaper Bild has also confirmed in its report today that Marco Reus has sent a strong message to both, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid by joining a Spanish class. According to the Bild report, Reus has been taking lessons with a Spanish teacher for the past three weeks. German giants Bayern Munich are eager to land Marco Reus from Borussia Dortmund next summer as it is their policy to sign the key player of their closest Bundesliga rival. As a part of this policy they have raided Borussia Dortmund on past two years to sign Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski. However, Marco Reus seems content to change that trend as he is more interested in joining the Clasico rivals instead.
