FC Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has asked the club management to sale Dani Alves in order to make the way for Juan Cuadrado, while President Josep Bartomeu has said that more signings are expected at Camp Nou in coming days.
FC Barcelona have been linked with a move for Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado and the club is expected to make the first offer in the next week. And in order to generate the funds for the transfer of Cuadrado, club management is ready to sale 31 year old Dani Alves.
Dani Alves has been linked with a move away from Camp Nou constantly and reports coming from Spain suggest that his days are numbered at the Catalan capital. Barcelona based newspaper Sport has claimed today that: ai???Barcelona have decided that they want to get rid of Dani Alves sooner rather than later. The full-back is due to report back for training on Tuesday and is under contract until 30th June next year, but shouldn’t be around that long, as Luis Enrique has apparently made up his mind to dispense with the Brazilian.ai???
Barcelona already have Martin Montoya in their ranks and the arrival of Juan Cuadrado will further limit the stature of Dani Alves in this Barcelona squad.
Juan Cuadrado was a standout performer of Colombia in the World Cup and helped his nation to reach the Quarter Finals for the first time in their history. His compatriot James Rodriguez joined Real Madrid recently and interestingly, the former AS Monaco star advised Cuadrado to join FC Barcelona.
Juan Cuadrado regulalrly plays a winger for both Colombia and Fiorentina but FC Barcelona boss Luis Enrique feels that he can play on the right side of the defence too. Alves regularly played in more advanced role for Barcelona and coach Enrque has similar plans for Cuadrado.
French champions Paris Saint Germain are currently the frontrunners for the signature of Dani Alves.

FC Barcelona have already signed the likes of Claudio Bravo, Marc-Ivan Rakitic, Andre ter Stegen, Ivan Rakitic, Luis Suarez and Jeremy Mathieu, but the club’s spending may not be over yet.
FC Barcelona are the highest spenders of this transfer window but club president Josep Bartemeu has hinted that a club may sign few more players in coming days.
Bartemeu said: “The transfer window isn’t over yet, it ends in a months’ time. I think we still have some things left to do this summer.”
FC Barcelona coach Luis Enrique and Sporting Director Andoni Zubizaretta are scheduled to meet today to discuss the plans for this transfer window and it is being reported that the duo will make concrete efforts to sign Marquinhos and Juan Cuadrado in coming days.
