Salah’s Liverpool arrival imminent

There have been reports that Salah will undergo a medical at Liverpool sometime this week but, according to Egyptian radio [Arabic Lounge], the medical may happen as early as tomorrow. While these suggestions might be way off mark, the arrival of the highly rated Egyptian player looks imminent
It was understood, earlier this week that the Salah deal was still way off mark. FC Basel are clearly in no rush to sell as the ‘Egyptian Messi’ is getting them many suitors and Liverpool Echo wrote:
Unless a compromise can be reached, Liverpool are prepared to wait until the summer when Salah, who scored both home and away against Chelsea in the Champions League earlier this season, will enter the final two years of his contract
Liverpool have been linked with Mohamed Salah for a while now, and clearly the rumors show the club’s heavy interest in the man. Liverpool need reinforcements and Salah would be the ideal buy as he fits both Rodgers’ and club owner FSG’s policy.We will have to wait and see if and when this deal happens.
Ossuama Assaidi uncertain of future

Liverpool’s on loan winger Ossuama Assaidi is very happy with the way things have progressed for him at Stoke and will be contemplating his future.
The Morrocan, who was Rodger’s summer signing last season’s summer transfer window was not part of the manager’s plans and spent almost the entire season on the sidelines. He was sent off to Stoke on loan this season and has scored thrice in the Premier League, most recently against Everton. He also scored the winning goal against Chelsea.
Assaidi is not sure where his future lies, but says he has been in contact with Rodgers:
He texts me sometimes if I score, saying ‘well done’, ‘keep going’ and ‘I am hearing good things about you.Ai??I am very happy here, because Mark Hughes has made me better and given me confidence.Ai??But I love to play here for Stoke because they have given me a chance.Ai??Everyone at the club seems to like me. Assaidi didn’t have the best time with LiverpoolAi??after Rodgers signed him from Dutch side Heerenveen in August 2012, as he made only four substitute appearances in the Premier League and eight appearances in cup competitions. He could be a brilliant squad player for the team and Rodgers should look to incorporate him in the plans next season. However, it looks like Assaidi will be more than happy to stay at Stoke, a place where he feels welcomed.
