Coach Vicente del Bosque has got the backing of Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), in spite of Spainai??i??s disastrous World Cup campaign which has seen the La Roja exit from the tournament after back to back defeats against Holland and Chile.
The RFEF Secretary General Jorge Perez admits that the nation never even dreamt about such dismal World Cup campaign but is adamant that Del Bosque is the right man for the job.
Vicente del Bosque is under contract until after the European Championship finals in 2016 but he admitted after Spainai??i??s defeat against Chile that his future is not certain. Del Bosque had said that: ai???We need to decide whatai??i??s best for Spanish football, and that includes myself.ai???
However, the official of Spanish Football Federation has come forward to put the cold water on the rumours surrounding the future of the 63-year-old. ai???From top to bottom in the federation we are all behind Del Bosque,ai??? said Jorge PAi??rez, Spainai??i??s director of football, told radio station Cope. ai???If we have the best coach around, why would we change?ai???
Perez also said that any of the RFEF officials has not spoken with the coach yet but they will only talk once the team comes back to Spain.

ai???When Del Bosque signed the contract he said that if there was any motivation that we thought he shouldnai??i??t continue, he would leave. But I want him to stay. Perez feels that Spain has got the best coach in the world and there is no need to change him at the moment.
“Not even in the worst predictions did we think that what happened could have happened. [Critics] don’t affect him. If we have the best, why change?”
“When Del Bosque signed the contract [earlier this year] he said that if for any reason we decided he should not continue, he would go. I want him to continue.
The RFEF official also admitted that playing 60 matches every year has taken its toll on the players and this may be the reason behind dismal performance. “The players are playing 60 games. Year after year it is a huge effort. And unfortunately it has shown.ai???
