Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has dismissed rumours linking him with a move to La Liga giants Real Madrid and FC Barcelona.
The 26-year-old midfielder has established himself among the top midfielders in the world in the past three seasons with Juventus. The Chilean international has been a key part of the last two title winning campaigns under Antonio Conte. But as expected, his impressive performances has attracted a lot of attention from a host of European clubs with Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona reportedly interested in signing the midfielder in the summer.
But Juventus are unlikely to let go of their prized asset in the summer and their General Manager Giuseppe Marotta has rubbished rumours linking him with a move away from Turin.
“Barcelona’s interest for Vidal? We are honoured that the great clubs are interested in our players, but we want to improve in Europe too, so we want to sign players, not sell them. Vidal is happy here, and we are happy with him, so I really think that he will stay.” ai??i?? Marotta said yesterday.
Meanwhile, Arturo Vidal has laughed off reports linking him with Barcelona and Real Madrid and insisted that he wants to win more honours with Juventus.
“Join Real Madrid or Barcelona? That’s ridiculous! All I want is to win the league with Juventus and have a good World Cup.ai??? ai??i?? The Juventus midfielder said.
Vidal will be part of the Chilean squad that will face Germany in the forth coming friendly and former Bayer Leverkusen player stressed on the fact that he has already faced most of the German players and believed Chile can cause them problems.
“I know the best part of Germany players. I’ve faced practically all of them.
“As for Chile, we are a young and quick team. We like good football” ai??i?? He added.
Vidalai??i??s current contract with Juventus runs till 2017, which means teams will find it hard to prize him away from the Italian club. But Juventus are sure to receive offers for the talismanic midfielder, who has already scored 11 goals and provided five assists in the Serie A this season, along with his five goals in the Champions League.
