Arsenal have just recently announced the signing of Alexis Sanchez and now, ArsA?ne Wenger has set his eyes on Germany duo Sami Khedira and Lars Bender.
Khedira has been the standout out performer of Germany in this World Cup, but Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is ready sell him as he has set his eyes on Toni Kroos of Bayern Munich.

Arsenal have big plans for this transfer window. They announced on Thursday the capture of Chile international Alexis Sanchez in a deal reported to be worth in the region of A?30 million and they are also on verge of completing a deal for Newcastle Unitedai??i??s Mathieu Debuchy. Atletico Madrid youngster Javi Manquillo is also expected to sign for the Gunners in coming days, probably on loan.
Sami Khedira spent most of the last season on dressing table but made his return from injury in Champions League final against Atletico. The holding midfielder is also a regular starter for Germany during the ongoing World Cup. Khedira has only one year left in his contract but Coach Ancelotti is reportedly not ready to extend it. However, Real Madrid would still demand more than A?20 million for him.
Arsenal have the likes of Mesut Ozil, Lukas Podolski and Per Mertesacker in their ranks who all are German internationals and Wenger believes that their presence could prove a crucial factor in a potential deal.
Meanwhile, Arsenal is not the only club who is interested in Sami Khedira. Some English newspapers have claimed today that Jose Mourinhoai??i??s Chelsea are also in the pursuit of Sami Khedira. Khedira had a close relationship with Mourinho when the Portuguese was the manager of Madrid and the Blues management believes that they do have a realistic chance of getting their man.
However, Sami Khedira is not the only target of Arsene Wenger. Khediraai??i??s German team mate Lars Bender is also a long term target of Arsene Wenger. Wenger even tried to sign Bender last summer but he failed in his attempts. The 25 year old holding midfielder is a key member of Bayer Leverkusen and Arsenal will have to spend big on him as he has a contract with the German club till 2019.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes that addition of either Khedira or Bender will prove a great step ahead in their pursuit of Premier League title and has already made informal inquiries with the parent clubs of both these players.
