Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has admitted he may leave the club in summer citing desires to play for a big club as the reason.
French midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has hinted he may leave Southampton FC in the summer if the club fails to qualify for the Champions League. The France international had looked set for a move away from St Maryai??i??s last summer, only for the club to refuse to let him leave. Schneiderlin has attracted special interest from Arsenal as Wenger is believed to be pursuing the midfielder for a while now.
Southampton have made a very impressive start to the season as the club stands 2nd in the Premier League 4 points behind Chelsea. Despite their superb performance so far, under new manager, Ronald Koeman, Schneiderlin is not entirely convinced with the idea of staying with the club for long-term.

Schneiderlinai??i??s revelation will certainly tempt Arsene Wenger to bring the midfielder to the Emirates in the summer. The midfielderai??i??s terrific range of passing, goal-scoring abilities and a dominating presence in the middle of the park makes him an ideal choice for Wenger. Since Patrick Vieira left the club in 2005, Arsenal have not enjoyed the presence of a controlling figure in the midfield and Schneiderlin could be the right choice to fill that void.

Arsenal have been extensively linked with defensive midfielders for a while now, with Khedira being the closest to making a move to the Gunners. However, Schneiderlin who is 25 right now, looks like a better prospect as the France international is familiar with the English Premier League style of play having spent more than 5 years in the league playing for Southampton.
Schneiderlin should remain a long-term target for Arsenal as the midfielder is clearly open to a move away from the Saints and his on-field presence will certainly boost Arsenalai??i??s play.
